Among all the HGUC Zakus, Zaku II F2 is probably the best HGUC Zaku available at this momnet. It has excellent proportion, part separation, decent amount of accessories and fairly good representation of the original design.
The only seam lines that need to be removed are the ones on weapons and shoulder spike armor. Only downside is that it never comes with the "renewed" Zaku bazooka which is different from the one in HGUC Zaku II F. Fortunately, the new HGUC High Mobility Zaku has it and no mod is needed for F2 to use it.
Anyway, here is my work. The colour comes out a bit lighter than I intended but I just want to paint something before the outdoor airbrushing season is over in Canada.
I totally know what you mean about the right seasonal weather. I use Tamiya spray can paints, which are excellent, but the humidity needs to be 62% or less, ideally. Well, living in Miami, Fl, where it's usually 80% humidity or above on an average day presents a challenge. I'll have parts attached to sticks, clamps, etc...laying out on a table for days, weeks, before I can paint them properly.
ReplyDeleteI really like your coloring on this. The pale greens contrasted with the dark greys look great.
