HGUC 1/144 RGM-79 GM

Painted this kit back in 2012

Some WIP photos

Was going to make that white block a removable bazooka hanger but got lazy.

In case you are wondering what's the white goo on back camera of the head, I forgot to remove the masking gel.

Compared to OOB kit.

Those two RGB-79 Balls were painted alongside with GM.
I didn't put any effort in them and the result turned out accordingly so didn't bother take separate photos.
They are still good for displaying in background though.

Two squads for only 4000 yen or one for 2000 yen.
Doesn't matter if you are Zeon or EFSF fans, they are must-have for HGUC collectors.

HGAC 1/144 Wing Zero Gundam

So I built the HGAC Wing Zero today.

The kit has slightly sharper detail than HGAC Wing and good amount of samll details throughout the kit. It's also the best looking Wing Zero Bandai has ever made IMO.

I was quite pleased with the kit despite those unsightly wing hinges.

until I got to the head...

The gap...feel like Ultron is smiling at me...
Good old Bandai, always has a surprise around the corner.
Bandai should have made the side of red chin once piece with the face so we won't get this awkward gap. The pieces are just too small for Bandai to execute properly and the plastic they used in HG is no help.
Would be much easier to paint it red than fixing the gap.

Also found out Bandai is too cheap to include proper gun holding hands.
On the bright side, the trigger guard is still there unlike HGAC Wing.

Was going to write a full kit review, but after the face and this, not gonna bother.

HG 1/144 Astray Red Frame

I usually don't care for articulation but Astray is the mobile suit that clams to have human-like articulation. Feel obligated to show some pictures about it.

Now I finally have the trio.

IMO, Gold Frame is the best of of 3. The details are there and the proportion is spot-on
You just have to paint it.
Blue Frame isn't bad either but the head needs sharpening and that god damn sword is just way too heavy for anything.
As for Red Frame, it looks a little off because of the long neck and small chest.
The V fin is also excessively long so I shorten it a little.

Thought this was a detail I didn't notice before, but turned out it's just another molding defect. Gold and Blue Frames don't have this mark.
